The tentative outline should contain an introduction. This clearly states the thesis and the intended purpose of research. It should then contain the body, which gives the argument. The writer should obey the rule of three. This is the practice of enumerating three supporting arguments for each position that the writer takes. The outline should finally contain a conclusion which restates the thesis and summarizes the arguments.

The writer should now organize all his notes and write his first draft. This should contain all the aspects of the research paper as stipulated in the tentative outline, only in a more detailed fashion this time. Following that, the writer should revise his outline and draft. He should double check the steps and the facts in his findings. He should identify any omissions or repetitions. Establish whether or not he has made the points clear enough.

At this stage, the writer should be ready to type the final paper. This should be  very simple task considering the draft covers every aspect. It is almost a copy and paste exercise. The writer should aim to have the final paper a day or two before the deadline. The final copy should be proof read just incase.
